Neil Gaiman's A Study In Emerald

Posted by Grey Friday, January 8, 2010

For anyone who just can't shake off the quirky Downey Jr's Holmes, here's a little freebie, courtesy of Neil Gaiman.

Neil Gaiman, ever the gracious man, has actually provided an online version of his Hugo Award-winning Short Story on his website as it takes the form of a Victorian periodical or newspaper, which includes various advertisements that reference characters such as Vlad Tepes, Victor Frankenstein, Spring Heeled Jack, and Dr. Jekyll.

It is in PDF format and available, right here.

First read in Fragile Things, this masterful short story pits the Great Detective against H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos, in a way you can never imagine.
