TNA Impact! Sequel Announced

Posted by Grey Wednesday, December 2, 2009

While we bath deliriously in the heavenly sunshine of wrestling game pinnacle, WWE Smackdown VS Raw 2010, a second "impact" from the underdog awaits.

While the first foray into gaming world for TNA (Total Nonstop Action Wrestling) by Midway was a relatively decent effort (with a relatively decent sales), the sequel, long announced by Midway went into development hell after the studio bankrupted. Then in July 2009, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment reportedly purchased the majority of Midway, but noticeably without the TNA license. In a September 2009 interview, TNA president Dixie Carter Salinas announced that TNA was looking for a new video game partner. In a latest development of the ongoing issue, SouthPeak Games had on November 11, 2009, confirmed that it has acquired the TNA video game license in its quarterly report. More importantly, the first game published by the company will be TNA Impact!: Cross the Line for the PlayStation Portable/PSP Go and Nintendo DS consoles.

So we have a name together the release date now.
