People kill people."

Witness the destruction of Tokyo by unspeakable monsters... again. But this is neither any mere Kaijus nor your run-of-the-mill final battle for mankind... It's the live-action short film depicting the "Seven Days of Fire," the apocalyptic war mentioned in Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, the 1984 classic anime film written and directed by none other than Hayao Miyazaki.
And here we go... again. Undoubtedly the most lucrative comic-to-film adaptation franchise ever, Marvel Studios boldly pushes on for Phase Two with the release of Iron Man 3. The Daily Zombies take a final look at the promotional campaign of easily one of the most anticipated films of 2013.

The inaugural entry for the eponymous Undead Monday. Before anyone go all maniacally wild over Megan Fox's involvement here, well, it's Jonah Hex, movie adaptation, so what's the undead connection?
Either way, Jonah Hex is a classic Western character who is a pioneer of the archetypal anti-hero, way back in 1972, heavily influenced by Clint Eastwood's Man With No Name in "The Dollars Trilogy", sharing his cynical and uncaring personality while bound by an extraordinary code of honor. Later directions for the character in the 1990s, written by Joe R. Lansdale and drawn by Tim Truman, brings Hex towards a darker realm, exposing himself to black magic, zombies and lovecraftian monsters.
Josh Brolin will be portraying Jonah Hex, complete with his half-disfigured look, while the aforementioned John Malkovich will be Quentin Turnbull, Hex's long-time nemesis in the comics.
And yes, Megan Fox is also cast as the romantic interest, Leila, a gun-wielding prostitute.
Superhero movie is getting an ass-kicking treatment, as Mark Millar's runaway hit creator-owned series gets its hollywood release.
Rumored to have its film rights sold even before the first issue were off the shelves (goes a long way to illustrate the monster appeal of the superhero genre to Hollywood), Mark Millar's creator-owned series, published by Marvel Comics under the its Icon imprint alongside Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips's Criminal, has been a breakout hit series since its release in April 2008.
With a refreshingly intriguing take on superheroics, Mark Millar introduces the tale of an ordinary comic-book-reading kid who took his inspirations from the "funny books" a little too serious. Having zero abilities and training, Dave Lizewski, an otherwise average high school student took on the role of a costumed crime-fighter with the titular codename, Kick-Ass, with obviously disastrous results. What got this tale going is its unique realistic writing, putting together daily modern elements such as Youtube (when a bystander recorded Kick-ass's "heroic" antics on his mobile and posting it on Youtube) and MySpace (where Kick-Ass sets up a MySpace account for people seeking help from the hero), and realistic response from the usual people.
Perhaps this is what that had gotten Hollywood's enthusiasm rising. Despite the participation of Nicholas Cage in the cast as Big Daddy, the trailer of the film, which has just been fully released (it was released earlier in its teaser form during Comic-Con), does seemed appropriately well-made, probably due to the total absence of Nic Cage, I must add. Nevertheless, viewers who are unaware of the source material might write this off as another superhero spoof comedy with the trailer's overt concentration on its comedic strengths but not its dark, violent side.
