Deus Ex: Human Revolution Announced

Posted by Grey Monday, March 15, 2010

The next chapter in what was much touted as the "Best PC Game Of All Time" and multiple "Game Of The Year" award-winner, Deus Ex, has arrived.

Released in the year 2000, Deus Ex received worldwide critical and industrial acclaim, which led to high anticipation for its sequel Deus Ex: Invisible War in 2003. While the sequel were not on the receiving end of high acclaims like its predecessor, the game's release on both PC and Xbox were met with tremendous success.

Announced on May 2007 with the working title Deus Ex, it was only until the recent 2010 Game Developers Conference that a Square Enix-produced CGI Teaser Trailer were finally shown, together with the announcement of the official name change from "Deus Ex 3" to "Deus Ex: Human Revolution". Why the change, you ask? Just so to reflect the fact that the next chapter of Deus Ex turned out to be a prequel set in 2027, twenty-five years before the events of the original Deus Ex transpired.

Expect more biomechanical augmentations madness, complete with philosophical message-filled actions with this one.

In the meantime, the trailer.
