Just when you thought all this grudge is finally behind us. Talk about Undead Mondays.

To commemorate the tenth anniversary of The Ju-on Series, Ju-on: Shiroi Roujo \ Kuroi Shoujo AKA The Grudge: Old Lady In White / Girl In Black was released last year in Japan, coinciding with the release of JU-on: The Grudge Wii game (which we reviewed last year).

Premiered in simultaneous screenings in theaters across Japan on June 27th 2009, the original director, Takashi Shimizu and producer Taka Ichise returned to supervise both films, with their respective directors, Ryuta Miyake and Mari Asato. Despite the involvement of the original creators, the homage is in spirit only as the Saeki Murders, a critical plot in the original series are not referenced at all as new onryos (vengeful spirits in Japanese) takes the center stage with both eponymous colorful ladies. The darn Toshio Saeki though, makes a small cameo in both films.

Do check out the standard J-Horror fare with the below trailer. The movie will be released in Singapore on March 18th.
