Feeling uninspired and having 82 minutes that you have no idea of doing away?

Some inspiring entertainment for you to spend that 82 minutes of yours watching streamed movie in the most legitimate way.

A staunch activist of the free culture movement, Nina Paley had released Sita Sings the Blues for free download "at all resolutions, including broadcast-quality, HD, and film-quality image sequences", licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share-alike 3.0 Unported license.

An animated feature film written, directed, produced and animated entirely by American artist Nina Paley, Sita Sings the Blues has won worldwide acclaim along with numerous awards since its release.

A heartbreaking tale corresponding with parallel presentation, chronicling both the tale of Sita in Ramayana, and Nina's very own personal life. Spliced with lovely outtakes of 1920s Annette Hanshaw songs, the animation film may not be apt for some with its long musical sequences but will definitely be a treat for those yearning for a unique animation experience.

While a limited DVD pressing of 4,999 copies has been printed due to terms of the music license, the film was also released for free download "at all resolutions, including broadcast-quality, HD, and film-quality image sequences", licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share-alike 3.0 Unported license. In accordance to the act, the freely downloaded files are counted as "promotional copies" and will thus be exempt from payments to the copyright holders of the songs.

Alternatively, the film is also made available for free-streaming viewing via youtube, embedded herein for your convenience.
