Chaos Rings: App Attack

Behold. Square Enix, best known for its console role-playing game franchises, sets eye on iPhone with an exclusive release.

The RPG scene in iPhones has recently been growing tremendously, with many outstanding releases from Gamevil's Zenonia 2 to Square Enix's very own re-releases of Final Fantasy I and II. With the release of Chaos Rings on the iPhone on April 20th, RPG fans who have been craving for the ultimate RPG experience on iPhone might just get what they wished for.

Produced by Takehiro Ando with Wild Arms developer Media Vision, with all eight of the playable character models designed by Yusuke Naora (the art director for several Final Fantasy and Compilation of Final Fantasy VII titles), Chaos Rings is an unique 3D RPG that is developed exclusively for the iPhone OS.

Taking place in a mysterious dungeon-type battleground known as Ark Arena, The game is comprised of five scenarios with each played by two different individual story characters as unsuspecting participants in a tournament to the death where the ultimate price is immortality. With full 3D character models on hand-drawn background, Chaos Rings also promise an in-depth strategic gameplay along with the turn-based battle system.

From the trailer which featured some of the very best graphics iPhone have ever seen, this is one RPG not to be missed.
