Hero Of Sparta II Trailer

Posted by Grey Tuesday, April 20, 2010

It's time to slay some Greek Gods once again... Oh wait, that's for God Of War III. It's time to slay some Greek fabled creatures once again, exclusively on iPhone, iPod Touch and probably iPad.

Recently announced by developer Gameloft, to be release for iPhone and iPod touch sometime this year, the sequel to the relentlessly brutal action adventure, Hero of Sparta II will continue its business-as-usual, thrashing down more mythological on its way. While there isn't any announcement made of an iPad version, it is more likely than not that a high-definition iPad version is in the works as we speak.

While it's a well-known fact that Gameloft often, cough, finds inspiration in established gaming titles for their iPhone games, credits should be given to Gameloft that these "inspired" games have bought prestige to iPhone gaming long before the gaming giants set their sights on the iPhone gaming scene. One of these notably efficient games would be Hero Of Sparta, where players take up that sword and wear that pair of sandals to face mythological creatures straight out from the Greek fables.

Gameloft has announced on their YouTube page that the game will be playable in May at Gameloft's 10th anniversary celebration in Paris on May 6th. In addition, a contest for a paid excursion to this particular party is being held at the YouTube page too. So for anyone who thinks that they always have a good hand at lottery, do feel free to give a shot.

In the meantime, check out the trailer embedded below. Based on the trailer, it is indeed business-as-usual as we witnessed a Spartan warrior (probably Argos from the first game) facing off with a sea creature.
