As if to remind us of the launch of iPad...

While Apple complete its invasion on an unsuspecting world with the launch of iPad last week, Jim Lee, the newly crowned Co-Publisher of DC Comics, conjures some signature magic of his, on the iPad.

Posted to his Twitpic are this pair of gorgeous portraits of two of the most prominent members of Batman's Rogues Gallery, that was 'fingerpainted' on the iPad screen using Sketchbook Pro. The insanely poignant portrait of the Clown Prince of Crime is particularly delirious.

Do stay tuned to Jim Lee's Twitter account for his random work. Alternatively, do check out the collaborative artists' blog at gelatometti, where Lee recently posted another entry on a step-by-step guide on a Wonder Woman piece similarly done on iPad.

In the meantime, the earlier mentioned portraits.
