Resident Evil: Afterlife Trailer

Posted by Grey Wednesday, April 7, 2010

Thinking that the Resident Evil film franchise had finally died off after the third film? Fat hope.

Making its grand return bigger, badder and faster, Resident Evil: Afterlife could just be making that claim all that louder with the film set to be in full-fledged 3D, and with the director of the first film (and the producer of the second and third), Paul W. S. Anderson, at helm.

Perhaps a more interesting fact for the Resident Evil fans out there, would be that series mainstay and arguably most popular character Chris Redfield, will be making his big screen debut courtesy of Wentworth Miller AKA that Prison Break dude. Ali Larter will be reprising her role as Claire Redfield, so it's probably safe to say that we can expect some sibling's loving with this one. One point that goes without saying would be that Milla Jovovich would be headlining this one as Alice return. This is not meant as a reference to Jovovich being Director Anderson's wife and all, but that the role seemed more crucial to the film franchise than quite simply any other original characters in the games. Which is annoying.

As no official pictures were released on the otherwise empty official site, check out this set photo for a sneak peek at Wentworth Miller's Chris Redfield.

Check out below for the trailer.
