Happy Star Wars Day

May the 4th be with you.

Also known as Luke Skywalker Day, today is called Star Wars Day mainly due to the pun on the similarity between the date, read as "May the 4th" and the famous quote, "May the Force be with you".

May 4th is called Star Wars Day (also sometimes known as Luke Skywalker Day) because of a pun on the similarity between the date, read as "May the 4th", and the beginning of the phrase "May the Force be with you", a famous quote often spoken in the Star Wars movies. Considered by Star Wars fans as an unofficial holiday to celebrate the Star Wars culture, there were even efforts to promote the day as a holiday for a Jediism Church.

In memory of the original trilogy, we follow Gizmodo by watching a two-minute version of the original trilogy told entirely with stop-motion Lego.
