Super 8 Teaser Trailer And Poster Unveiled

Next Summer, prepare for a science fiction blockbuster film directed by J. J. Abrams and produced by Steven Spielberg. Dead yet?

While nothing other than a very brief movie synopsis has been revealed (based on what was seen in the teaser trailer), the hype behind this super top-secret film has since rocketed sky high after the release of its teaser trailer that was screened before Iron Man 2 in the US. And that is of course to the absolute surprise of nobody given the high profile collaboration between director J. J. Abrams, who has been on a roll with his re-imagining of Star Trek last year, and Spielberg, who is no stranger to neither the sci-fi genre nor the general population in fact.

What we can gather from the teaser trailer would be the fact that in 1979, a train carrying important cargo from Area 51 was derailed and the aforementioned mysterious cargo was thus unleashed upon the world. For crying out loud, we don't even know if the film will be set in the 70s or will be having a contemporary setting instead.

There have been many wild online speculation about the film, from an ET-esque child-alien interaction film, to a sci-fi action thriller. Well, nobody knows, and that's pointing to the very same irritating viral marketing that we were treated with from 2008's Cloverfeld. So don't go raise your hope high up thinking that with Spielberg's involvement, we are in for a cinematic treat. After all, there's Indiana Jones and his lameass Crystal Skull.

In the meantime, the teaser trailer as mentioned.
