It's George Romero's. Is that particular fact good enough for us to get the App.. of the Dead?

With today's highly Zombie Apocalypse-trained, iPhone-wielding undead generation, I guessed this is what we can considered as, a shout-out-loud from the cinematic maestro who single-handedly revolutionized the Zombie Culture, George A. Romero, indicative of his as yet unfinished business in furnishing the undead genre. We all know the well-documented love affairs that the iPhone had with the undead genre. There seemed to be an infinite number of games based on this particular sub-genre of horror, as titles after titles are churned out before you know it. While Plants Vs. Zombies easily takes the cake as the single best game with a zombie theme, that fact doesn't seems to registered any decreasing number of similar Survivor Horror titles released.

With the very authoritarian-sounding title, App of the Dead is, for the most part, an enhancement over a particular type of app. While the capability of transforming a regular photo into a Romero-styled zombie doesn't quite sound like a novelty idea (especially with the ZombieBooth app executing this feature in a remarkable way already), the concept of being able to attack said newly created zombie, along with more than 20 animated features to customized your very own zombie, is indeed enticing.

Check out the video trailer embedded below.

This might just be the cheapest ever opportunity (at 1.99!) to get into the dark brain matter of Romero himself.
