NeverDead Preview: Undead Monday

Posted by Grey Monday, July 12, 2010

I can already envision a tagline for this one... "He may be called many things, but NeverDead."

Last month's E3 2010 was an excellent showcase for upcoming games, and the impressive ones certainly showed up in strengths.

While previously unknown (and remaining still relatively unknown now), Konami's latest multi-platform title, "NeverDead", was officially announced with a decent trailer.

While development of the title is being handled by Rebellion, the UK-based studio behind Aliens vs. Predator, it was created by Shinta Nojiri, a veteran Konami designer and the director of the Metal Gear Ac!d titles. While that fact might led one to inclined to perceived that this game will be another one of the stealth action titles, it is in fact more closely alike to action-packed titles the likes of Devil May Cry or Bayonetta.

Featuring a gun-toting, wise-cracking, immortal vigilante who has the power to reassemble himself together if dismembered. The premise set up many intriguing gameplay element, enough to stir our collective interest. Not unlike the Devil May Cry series, the main protagonist will be wielding an impossibly enormous and beautiful sword along with a full arsenal of ass-kicking guns, taking on supernatural forces in a apocalyptic dark future.

Let's take a look at some of the impressive screenshots, followed by the official trailer embedded right below.
