Falcoon's Capcom & SNK Art Scans

Posted by Grey Saturday, September 18, 2010

Tatsuhiko Kanaoka, better known in the gaming and illustration world by his other alias, Falcoon, has been a hallmark artist for SNK's The King of Fighters series, famous for his signature heavily stylized rendition of some of the most popular characters in the gaming industry.

We take a look at thirty-one high resolution pieces of some of the illustrations commissioned by Capcom and SNK and produced by Falcoon . Needless to say, nifty wallpaper stuffs.

A model dream for all would-be illustrators the likes of which you can find at deviantART, Falcoon started his profession from a mere fan-artist doing renditions of game franchises from Street Fighter, The King of Fighters, to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. After having grown a considerable fanbase from there, he was officially commissioned to produce the ingame artwork for, aptly enough, SVC Chaos: SNK vs. Capcom.

Since its 2003 iteration, Falcoon has been the main contributor for creation of new characters from The King of Fighters franchise.
