On the eve of the release of the much anticipated Halo: Reach, let's remember Reach by checking out some of the most singular trailer of the monster promotional campaign of the killer app of Xbox 360.
Is there any First Person Shooter that is as absolutely hopeless as this one?
As if we really need to be reminded of the cataclysmal event of Reach, which incidentally occurred before the events of the Bungie's essential Xbox 360 killer app that was released in 2001, Halo: Combat Evolved.
With Microsoft giving it all for Bungie's swan song, a enormous sum were reportedly used for an extensive marketing campaign of the game, surpassing the scale and cost of the award-winning Halo 3 marketing, which cost more than $6.5 million. The includes: A series of live-action trailer were released, culminating into the below embedded video, aptly titled "The Day Before".
While opinions over the surprisingly morose trailers depicting the day-to-day lives of puny citizens on the day before the commence of Covenant invasion varies from one online community to the other, the general consensus on the latter "Deliver Hope" campaign were much well-received. Do check it out after the jump.
Will every single human beings die in this one, making this the bleakest First Person Shooter ever? I'm afraid so, but rest assured the long, wide ride down the final fight to the death is going to be one hell of a ride you won't forget for a long, long time.
In closing, we would like to thank Kotaku, whom have gamely featured some really wicked
