The Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition

For those who have not had the opportunity to play the critically acclaimed "Dragon Age: Origin", here's one indisputable good reason to do so.

Damn, the way these gaming marketing goes, it sure seems that these game publishers are encouraging gamers to develop some kind of a patience to await for a more economic version of the games they are interested.

We have earlier reported on UNCHARTED: Among Thieves Game of the Year Edition, which is effectually a steal with all its many DLC collected in the version.

And now it's BioWare's turn to leave us loyal and regular gamers dumbfounded.

Released on October 26th by Electronic Arts on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, Dragon Age: Origins – Ultimate Edition includes the original Dragon Age: Origins game, the expansion, Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening, and all nine downloadable packs: The Stone Prisoner, Warden's Keep, Return to Ostagar, Feastday Gifts, The Darkspawn Chronicles, Feastday Pranks, Leliana's Song, the Golem's Amgarrak, and Witch Hunt.

Priced at $59.99, this is more than a steal when you consider about every single pennies that fans had spent on downloadable contents of Dragon Age: Origins. That's a stellar $114, ready to be severely slashed in more than half.

A most effective cautionary tale. For those who can withhold playing the likes of Red Dead Redemption and its Undead Nightmare DLC, rest assured that your patience would be duely rewarded when they come out with a "Game of the Year Edition", or an "Ultimate Edition", collecting all the DLC.

The sequel to Dragon Age: Origins, titled simply as "Dragon Age II", is currently slated to be released in March 2011.
