Help Steve Rude Keep His House By Buying His Art

Comic fans enamored of unique yet aesthetically satisfying art knows Steve Rude. So, for those with a hefty pocket, help Steve Rude keep his house by buying his art.

Steve Rude, widely renowned for his work on the Eisner Award-winning Nexus, the series created by writer Mike Baron and Rude, has seemingly run through some rough patches lately. As reported on The Comic Reporter, Rude and his family are in danger of losing their home. In order to raise enough money to meet a November 15th deadline, he is now auctioning original art pieces online. For those interested, you can look at his eBay page, or the store at his homepage. For more information, you can visit his Facebook page.

For those who finds these original art out of their acceptable price range, the store does provide numerous other material at a wide range of prices.

In my opinion, Steve Rude is one of the selected few genuinely talented artist who has been uncompromising toward his choice of work. In this time of cataclysmic economic downturn, let's lend a hand to one of the most underrated illustrators of our time.

Update (13th November 2010): Steve Rude has confirmed that the money raised from his "save the house" fundraiser has enabled he and his family to keep their home. In his own words.
