Joker & Lex, Calvin & Hobbes-Style

Posted by Grey Friday, October 1, 2010

A little surprise for those who have bought the all-star 75th issue of Superman/Batman.

Writer Brian Azzarello and artist Lee Bermejo's respective abilities in capturing the feel and look of nasty badass have never been in doubt. Which is why when they work together on a short piece entitled "Joker & Lex" on the 75th anniversary issue of Superman/Batman, you can be pretty sure what it could be about, informed by their previous collaboration in 2008's brilliant original graphic novel, Joker.

A strip done in classic Calvin and Hobbes style, Bermejo channel Bill Watterson so well that you would have thought it's the creator of Calvin and Hobbes himself who did the art.
