Rockstar Games has finally made the official announcement that the Undead Nightmare DLC will be released on October 26, 2010.

As we await intently for quite possibly one of the best undead Halloween of all time (what with the release of not only Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare but also AMC's The Walking Dead TV series), check out the amazing Four Horses Of The Apocalypse along with some very interesting undead folks like the undead whore with these new screenshots.

Behold – the Four Horses of the Apocalypse. Pestilence, Famine, Death, and War.
As much as it sounded like a typo, yes, I meant exactly what I said, the Four freaking Horses of the Apocalypse. And all of them empowered with their most singular undead powers and abilities. Check them out in full-blown undead glory, complete with description from the official press release.

Given power to take peace from the earth, the fiery red horse known as War ignites a trail of flame upon all those in its path, turning the living and the undead alike into smoldering ash.

With Hell following close behind, Death carries with him a violent wake that rattles through the skulls of the undead, causing a spectacular cranial explosion for any zombie it comes in contact with.

Attracting a swarm of insects wherever it travels, Famine's thin shadowy frame and crimson eyes mask an everlasting stamina.

A ghastly harbinger of plague and disease that's easily identifiable by its exposed wounds and ocular hemorrhaging, Pestilence possesses an exceptionally high pain threshold.
Here's the official press release statement for quite possibly the greatest DLC ever. After the jump, check out more screenshots from Rockstar's official site.

This fall, prepare yourself for a shocking original experience introduced to the world of Red Dead Redemption
- with the Undead Nightmare Pack.

Unleashed upon the world of Red Dead Redemption, the Undead Nightmare Pack will feature an entirely new mostly single-player campaign that follows John Marston as he tries to find a cure for the highly infectious zombie plague that has spread across the frontier.

In addition to this epic new single-player adventure, The Undead Nightmare Pack also features brand new gameplay mechanics, weapons, zombie animals, mythical creatures and even a brand new secret location. All this, plus some exciting new multiplayer modes and much more to be revealed very soon.

The Undead Nightmare Pack will be available simultaneously for download via
PlayStation®Network ($9.99) and Xbox LIVE® (800 Microsoft Points).
More information coming very soon.
