Megamind Preview: Posters & Trailers

What happens when Superman is an attention-seeking, egoistic mega-celebrity?

Well, probably a Lex Luthor/Brainiac combo supervillain that actually has a conscience.

And to top it all off, the supervillain gets to be voiced by the impeccable Will Ferrell.

Here's Ferrell, unbelievably in the actual get-up of Megamind himself during the Megamind panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

Slated to be released worldwide in IMAX 3D on November 5th, Megamind is an animated superhero comedy film produced by DreamWorks Animation and Paramount Pictures. The film has been in our undead radar for some time, given its intriguing spin on the superhero genre. While Pixar's "The Incredibles" was undoubtedly a masterful spin on Marvel's beloved Fantastic Four (so much so that it absolutely eclipsed the two lackluster live-action adaptation of the source material), Megamind seek to offer an alternate riff on the Superman/Lex Luthor/Brainiac mythos. With a stellar and talented cast including the voices of Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill, and Tina Fey, the film might just manage to bring the fight to the other supervillain animated feature film, Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment's tremendously lucrative "Despicable Me".

Check out the hilarious trailers and a selection of the posters, after the jump.
