With New York Comic-Con hours away, Activision, along with developer Silicon Knights (Too Human, Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain), has fired the first shot by announcing an all-new X-Men game entitled X-Men: Destiny.

While the official website for the game has since gone live, and a teaser trailer featuring silhouette figures of familiar X-Men characters (Cyclops, Magneto, and Wolverine, etc.) has been released, there are scarcely any other information in Activision's announcement.

Yup, while we do understand that the title will be written by X-Men: Legacy writer Mike Carey, we haven't the slightest idea which platform the game will be on or even what game genres it belonged to yet.

Expect more information to be revealed at Activision's New York Comic-Con booth throughout this weekend starting from Friday (8th) to Sunday (10th) and the Marvel Games Panel on Saturday, October 9th, at 10:45 a.m.
