Scott Summers & The X-Men Vs. The World

Bryan Lee O’Malley does the X-Men? Well, kind of.

As much as we would like this to be true, there's simply no conceivable way for Bryan Lee O’Malley to work on the X-Men, other than a possible stint on Marvel'Strange Tales, or an occasional sketch like this one. Thus I'm pretty sure this piece of art is particularly sweet to fans of the Scott Pilgrim comic series.

However, do note that the art is only incidentally turned into an X-Men piece by colorist Rico Renzi. Originally illustrated by Bryan Lee O’Malley and colored by Rico Renzi as a new Scott Pilgrim poster for a box set featuring all the volumes from Oni Press, Renzi proceed to recolor the work and it just conveniently transformed into an awesome ensemble piece of X-Men.

In this mash-up, we can see Scott as Gambit, Ramona as Mystique, Gideon Graves as Mister Sinister, Envy Adams as Rogue, along with some that are not immediately identifiable.

Check out the picture right after the jump, followed by the original artwork.
