Battle: Los Angeles Preview: New Poster & Trailers

Posted by Grey Saturday, December 18, 2010

Having survived the lackluster Skyline, do you still have the stomach for yet another alien invasion film? We hope you do, as this seems to be promising stuffs.

We have earlier covered on the viral clips and poster reveal of Battle: Los Angeles, the Sci-Fi directed by South African filmmaker Jonathan Liebesman, with the much-lauded description of "Black Hawk Down meets Independence Day".

Scheduled to be released on March 11th, 2011, Battle: Los Angeles revolves around the concept of an intense real-time war movie from the perspective of the Marines as they battle against an alien invasion on the streets of Los Angeles. The film features Aaron Eckhart as a Marine Staff Sergeant with Michelle Rodriguez as his subordinate, Technical Sergeant Adriana Santos, along with Bridget Moynahan and Michael Peña.

Check out the two trailers released thus far for some epic shit-blowing-up action. Incidentally, the first trailer is the more interesting of the two, with an intriguingly apocalyptic, somber atmosphere intertwined with scenes of us puny human up against a seemingly unstoppable mecha evil empire, put to great effects by the aptly utilized Jóhann Jóhannsson's "Sun's Gone Dim and The Sky's Black".
