Amid the 2011 blockbuster trailer frenzy, here's the first trailer to Fast Five, the upcoming fifth installment of The Fast and the Furious film series.

We here at The Daily Zombies ain't too big a fan of the seemingly never-ending The Fast and the Furious film series. So why are we even talking about this?

Well, there's a simple reason for it, and the below picture tells the story.

Yes, it's Vin Diesel vs. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson! Impossible? Yeah, Director Justin Lin (who incidentally been on helm of the series since 2006's The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift) thought so too, when talking to USA Today:

"People thought it would be impossible to get Dwayne. But he didn't show up looking to cash a paycheck.

"That's pretty amazing, for a star like him to join the fifth part of a franchise. That says a lot about him and the fans."

"TThe vibe was electric when Dwayne walked on set. The whole crew was buzzing with him, Vin, and all these other huge action stars on one set. It was like having Stallone and Schwarzenegger in their prime together in a movie."

Vin Diesel and Paul Walker lead a reunion of returning all-stars from every chapter of the explosive franchise built on speed in Fast Five. In this installment, former cop Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) partners with ex-con Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) on the opposite side of the law. Dwayne Johnson joins returning favorites Jordana Brewster, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Matt Schulze, Tego Calderon and Don Omar for this ultimate high-stakes race.

Since Brian and Mia Toretto (Brewster) broke Dom out of custody, they've blown across many borders to elude authorities. Now backed into a corner in Rio de Janeiro, they must pull one last job in order to gain their freedom. As they assemble their elite team of top racers, the unlikely allies know their only shot of getting out for good means confronting the corrupt businessman who wants them dead. But he's not the only one on their tail.
