Kratos Slashes Into Mortal Kombat

Posted by Grey Saturday, December 11, 2010

The God of War is rather occupied these days.

According to StickSkills, the January issue of the Official PlayStation Magazine will be unveiling an exclusive playable character for PlayStation 3, and he is none other than... the God of War, Kratos!

While the news is not exactly earth-shattering, given Kratos' current status as the PlayStation 3's poster boy and his previous crossover experience in an all-out fighting game, Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny, it excites me just to think about what brutal fatalities awaits he brutal warrior god.

While Kratos will be available in regular matches with his own moves and his very own God of War themed combat arena, he will understandably not be a part of Mortal Kombat's story mode.

While fans of PlayStation 3 might be getting upper hand now, fans of Xbox 360 should hang on to see what exclusive character might be appearing for them. If we are talking about a character that is synonymous to Kratos' status in the platform's eye, I can only think of Master Chief to fit the bill.

Let's keep our fingers crossed on that.
