Singapore Toy, Games & Comic Convention (STGCC) 2010

Posted by Grey Sunday, December 12, 2010

A sleepy Sunday in a most singular sin city with no plans? Here's a good place to be (if you enjoy being crowded by fanboys, being knee deep in zenith geekery, and loves comics, games, or toys).

Singapore Toy, Games & Comic Convention (STGCC) 2010, the closest thing Singapore has to an event dedicated to the geeks like the San Diego Comic-Con. And with C.B. Cebulski, the international talent scout for Marvel Comics, and Marvel Comics having their first-ever booth in an Asia convention, do come prepared for quite a crowd. Creators like David Lloyd, Esad Ribic, Gail Simone, Alex Maleev, Leinil Francis Yu, Matt Fraction, and Salvador Larroca, are amongst the many guests for the event. A real downer, personally, as I would love to have my vintage "V for Vendetta" signed by Lloyd, whom have had his panel on Saturday. Nevertheless, there's enough comic creators you can ask for a tropical Asia country, and other fun stuffs like the convention-obligatory Cosplay competition (always a source of good sardonic humor), gaming tournament, special screenings, etc.

Here's the details:

Date: 10th to 12th December 2010

Venue: SUNTEC Singapore, Halls 401 & 402

Opening Hours:

Fri, 10th Dec 2010 12.00pm to 9.00pm
Sat, 11th Dec 2010 11.00am to 9.00pm
Sun, 12th Dec 2010 11.00am to 8.00pm
