Super 8 Preview: First Theatrical Trailer & Poster

It's a delightful blast from the amazing 80s' blast, with the first theatrical trailer from J. J. Abrams and Steven Spielberg's Super 8.

We have earlier brought you the teaser trailer along with the Super Bowl TV spot of the upcoming science fiction film written and directed by J. J. Abrams and produced by Steven Spielberg, Super 8.

However, with the release of its first theatrical trailer via Twitter, Super 8 is indeed shaping up to be a film worth its hype (unlike Abram's 2008 film, Cloverfield). It is no secret that Abram seeks to capture the magical ambiance of producer Spielberg's enchanted innocent wonderment in his early 80s film, and in this brief clip, we can see that he pretty much nailed it.

Without further, here's the first theatrical trailer of Super 8.

And here's the official plot synopsis, followed by the first poster of the film.

In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness a catastrophic train crash while making a Super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth – something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.

Super 8 is scheduled to be released on June 10th, in both conventional and IMAX theaters.
