This Is The Face Of The World's Most Typical Person

And he is, as expected, a Han Chinese.

Much like the Faces of Sydney Project but on an infinitely larger scale, National Geographic, with their researchers working on over 190,000 photos of the most typical type of person in the world to create a composite image, reveals the face of the world's most typical person.

And while it surprises no one that the most typical person is a 28-year-old ethnic Han Chinese with over 9,000,000 of them all over the world, the revelation that the most typical type of person would be coming from India in 2030, is an unexpected surprise.

Check out National Geographic's site for a cool interactive graphic in which the world's 7 billion population is depicted by 7,000 human figures, each representing a million people.

National Geographic's Seven Million Special Series is a year-long series examining the state of the global population.
