Trenched Preview: Trailer & Screenshots

Turn "No Man's Land" into "Real Man's Land" in Trenched.

Available exclusively as a downloadable Xbox Live Arcade title on the Xbox 360, Trenched is brought to you by Tim Schafer's Double Fine Productions, the same folks behind Psychonauts, Brütal Legend, and the upcoming Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster.

Unveiled at the recent Game Developers Conference by Tim Schafer himself, Trenched is reportedly a hybrid between tower defense and third person shooter game. Although the title is set during World War I, this is not the WWI that you know, with Allies-manned giant mecha in an all-out war against robotic alien invaders. Controlling units from "The Mobile Trench Brigade", players will bring the fight to the alien invaders known as the Monovision.

Here's the official description of the title from Xbox Live Arcade:

"Join The Mobile Trench Brigade and protect humanity from the evil Monovision menace in this Tower Defense Shooter from Tim Schafer's Double Fine Productions. Use a combination of mobile firepower and stationary defenses to turn the tide of war in our favor. Customize your trench with thousands of possible loadouts. March side by side with allies from around the world as you fight your way through Europe, Africa, and the Pacific."
