X-Men: First Class's Low Class Posters

Posted by Grey Thursday, March 17, 2011

We have ourselves an early winner for the worst movie poster of year. And it's only March.

Prepare yourself for quite possibly the very worst in movie poster history. So overbearingly bad that even the diabolical Magneto up there agrees with us.

Remember how we mocked at the half-ass PhotoShop work we saw with the first image of the prequel to Fox's X-Men films? We underwhelmed, back then. With these, we are simply overwhelmed by its absolute, resounding level of awfulness.

Released via X-Men: First Class's Facebook page last week, the two posters featured a weird angle, superimposing both James McAvoy (as Professor Charles Xavier) and Michael Fassbender (as Erik, Magneto)'s pathetically-cropped head shot in the silhouette of the original.

Fortunately, director Matthew Vaughn always does some impressive damage control whenever the marketing department fail epically. Below is newly released image of Lucas Till, as Havok, from the movie's Facebook page.

And here's a cool new Russian trailer of the film, packed with some new footages.

Incidentally, Michael Fassbender, in his role of Magneto, is starting to grow on me, and this could just be the movie to elevate him to the star status that has been denied to him for so long.
