Reimagining The X-Men: Low Class Posters: The Sequel

Posted by Grey Monday, April 11, 2011

The redesign of the atrociously underwhelming posters of Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class continues.

We have earlier featured some of the cool redesigns of the incredibly inept posters of Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class from iO9. And so it seems, that there are even more people than we thought enraged by the abomination.

The folks from Super Punch have also ran an open contest for a redesign of the posters. And now I suddenly see the profound intentions of Fox's marketing department. This is pretty awesome viral promotional tactics if it is indeed true.

Anyway, here are some of the impressive entries from the contest. While most of the entries at iO9 were largely mockery in nature, these at Super Punch proves to be more serious in tone.

Hit the jump to check out with one pleasant surprise right at the end.

Shane Parker

Bryan Lenning

Rory Phillips

Dean Reeves

Kirk Dunne

Berry Villegas

Clyde Bailey (Incidentally, the winner)

Christian Jacke

Josh Siegel

Michael Dee
And in closing, here is one exceptionally-made opening sequence complete with a Saul Bass' swinging style remix of the 90s X-Men cartoon series stealing the thunder.
