The Future Preview: Trailer & Poster

Posted by Grey Wednesday, May 11, 2011

For a quirky little strange film featuring a cat as the narrator and a moon telling you that it don't know anything and is really just a rock in the sky, Miranda July’s The Future looks fun and oozes plenty of charm.

Following her successful spell with her directorial debut, Me and You and Everyone We Know, in 2005, Miranda July is back with yet another offbeat comedy, The Future.

Winning the Caméra d'Or prize in The Cannes Festival in 2005, as well as the Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival, Miranda July's Me and You and Everyone We Know was also honored by Roger Ebert as the fifth best film of the decade. Based on what we have just saw from the trailer of The Future, rest assured that we are in for yet another kooky but nonetheless charming pseudo-scifi film. Check out the synopsis of the film below, followed by the recently released trailer and poster.

When a couple decides to adopt a stray cat their perspective on life changes radically, literally altering the course of time and space and testing their faith in each other and themselves.
