Courtesy of the folks that brought you Demon's Souls, prepare yourself for a punishing and hellacious trip down a dark fantasy world in Dark Souls.

While notorious for its insane challenging difficulty, 2009's Demon's Souls was also well-known for its immense depth and stunning graphics. Developed primarily by From Software with assistance from SCE Japan Studio, the action RPG game cleverly utilized an innovative take on the game's online capabilities while providing one of the most lavish settings among its peers, offering players an experience unlike any other RPG before.

Come this October, prepare to curse and swear while on the path of a brilliant yet unforgiving adventure into the dark fantasy world in Dark Souls, which developer From Software are calling the spiritual successor to Demon's Souls.

Promising even more intense dungeon crawling, insane combat along with the same innovative online multiplayer features, Dark Souls will also be featuring a wider open world concept along with new gameplay mechanics.

Ahead of tomorrow's E3, From Software has released a new trailer just in time for the event.

For those who have missed out the earlier trailers, we have embedded them below for your convenience.

Here is a trailer appropriately entitled "Prepare to Die".

And this is the first trailer.

Dark Souls is slated for a release in Japan (exclusively for the PlayStation 3) on September 15th. International-wise, the game will be released for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, on October 4th in North America and October 7th in Europe. Here's a look at the limited edition of the game, complete with the game's soundtrack and in-game map.
