Devil's Third's Update: E3 2011

Posted by Grey Monday, June 6, 2011

Ahead of E3 today, Tomonobu Itagaki and his Valhalla Game Studios has released a new trailer with updates on their upcoming game, Devil's Third. Or lack thereof.

At last year's E3, renowned game creator Tomonobu Itagaki, famous for creating the Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive franchises, provided a sneak peek to the debut game from his new studio, Valhalla Game Studios. Entitled "Devil's Third", fans were treated to a fast-paced, action-packed trailer with gameplay sequences that are seemingly comprised of both third-person shooter and melee combat system.

However, fans excited by the prospect of having an update of the title are bound to be disappointed by this new trailer created just for the event of E3.

Yes, you have just spent three minutes of your life that you will never get back, watching Itagaki and Valhalla CEO Satoshi Kanematsu having a good time with a good bunch of ladies, a comedian hosting the entire segment with his unbearable antics, and a blink-and-miss moment of actual gameplay of the game. On to Tokyo Game Show.

For those who missed out on the original trailer that was shown last year, we have embedded it right below, followed by some official verbiage of the title.

From legendary game creator Tomonobu Itagaki and his newly formed Valhalla Game Studios, Devil’s Third is a fast paced action game set in the near future in the wake of a global catastrophe. Tomonobu Itagaki, whose credits include the critically acclaimed Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive franchises, vows to deliver an experience like no other, combining a deep storyline with original combat mechanics all set against an atmospheric and explosive backdrop.
