It's a rip-roaring ride back to Raccoon City in this new chapter of the popular Survival Horror series set during the events of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.

Capcom's Resident Evil series has long been helmed the cream of the crop among the numerous Survival Horror games having spawned the genre itself with its original title released in 1996. However, it has been much debated that the game reaches its peak during its second and third installment, Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. With zombie-themed Survival Horror coming out at gamers in the hordes, what can Capcom do to turn the tide of the undead with their very own?

Apparently, the answer is to look back into the past.

Set during the events of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis in Raccoon CIty, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, players take on the roles of either an officer of the Umbrella Security Service (USS), or a member of a United States Special Operations task-force. While the officer of USS is tasked with destroying evidence of Umbrella's illegal activities, including killing survivors of the outbreak, the Special Operations team has to expose the actions of the company. With the new title being a reinterpretation of the events that occured in the original games, it is expected that several established facts in the series might be changed as a result.

Here is the first trailer of the title, released just in time for E3.
