Spider-Man: Edge of Time E3 Trailer

Seen your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man cry? Now watch him die.

We have earlier took a brief glance at Spider-Man: Edge of Time when it was announced by Activision back in early April. Developed by Beenox, the title is in fact a semi-sequel to Beenox's earlier Spider-Man game, "Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions" where the gameplay intertwine between four Spider-Man from four different realities. With Spider-Man: Edge of Time, we see a drop in the numbers of web-slingers with good'ol 616 Amazing Spider-Man, Peter Parker, and Spider-Man 2099, Miguel O'Hara.

We already knew earlier that the plot will have Miguel O'Hara, aka Spider-Man 2099, on a quest to save Peter Parker from an untimely death caused by an evil scientist from the 2099 era, which will in turn create a catastrophe in 2011. In this new trailer released in time for some pre-E3 attentions, we knew who will be the one to kill Spider-Man.

Yes, it is Anti-Venom, the new alter ego of Eddie Brock, the Venom. While Anti-Venom is largely portrayed as one of the good guys in the comic, he is depicted as one of the main antagonist here. With comic book scribe and Spider-Man 2099 co-creator, Peter David, as the writer of the game, we are quite certain that there must be a reason why the heroic Anti-Venom has turned on Spidey.
