Now here's a surprise entry for our Zombie of the Week: Super 8!

First and foremost, a most important spoiler-free advice for anyone intending to check out J. J. Abrams and Steven Spielberg's Super 8: Please stay through the credits for something quite special... not to mentioned undead-related.

For those who have actually watched Super 8, one thing that might have etched into their mind would have to be the adorable Mise en abyme function that was used as a key element in the film: "The Case", a short film made by the ensemble cast of child actors... literally.

Written and directed by the six child actors both in the movie and in real life, the kids were actually handed with the task of making a zombie movie by Abrams and made up everything else, from the lines and camera work. As a result, we have on our hand, quite possibly the cutest zombie film ever.
