Alex Ross’ Green Lantern Concept Art - Comic-Con 2011

Posted by Grey Thursday, July 28, 2011

Still feeling sore after lackluster Green Lantern movie? Now imagine what things would be like should Warner Bros. followed Alex Ross's vision of the film.

Commissioned to show potential commercial product application, acclaimed comic book artist and painter Alex Ross produced several pieces of fascinating concept art for the live-action comic book adaptation of the DC Comics superhero, Green Lantern.

Available for sale at his booth at the recently ended Comic-Con, Ross unveiled these awesome art that was initially used for potential design consideration in the Warner Bros. film. Much like Ross' earlier work for DC, the art faithfully captured the essence of the space-faring heroes and his fellow compatriots of the Green Lantern Corps. While these concept art are undoubtedly cool, we do get why Warner Bros. eventually settled for a more contemporary look over them.
