Flupocalypse, or rather, the Flu Apocalypse. Oh, first and foremost, we are setting the record straight here. This ain't the gloriously B'graded sci-fi horror film also known as "Bio-Slime" that we have previously mentioned in our Undead Monday and Direct-to-Video Hell feature. But instead this was what we mentioned about in the same article: The upcoming action-thriller film based on a viral outbreak directed by Steven Soderbergh, with a star-studded cast including Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, Marion Cotillard, and Laurence Fishburne.

With renowned director Steven Soderbergh at helm, we knew we are in for something, but this amazing trailer still blew us away. While movies centering on viral outbreak isn't really an innovation in cinematic history, the presentation of the film is almost like a high quality zombie film... without the zombie. With an incredible ensemble cast and a world-class director at helm, Contagion does indeed has the making of an exceptional action-thriller with an innovative twist.
