Fright Night: Character Posters - Undead Monday

Posted by Grey Monday, July 4, 2011

This Undead Monday, check out David Tennant's spanking new vampire hunter outfit with the recently released character poster set from the upcoming remake of Fright Night.

We have earlier took a sneak peek at director Craig Gillespie's remake of Tom Holland's 1985 teen-horror classic, Fright Night. Now feast upon the graphical horror of the new age vampire black comedy with the release of the first set of character posters for the film.

Yes, these are character posters with some pretty corny taglines. But I kind of dig the less serious tone these posters are adopting as compared to the unnecessary darker direction the earlier trailer seemed to be inclining. For one, David Tennant's new version of Peter Vincent seems fun.

For those who have missed out on our earlier preview, here’s the official synopsis for the film:

Senior Charlie Brewster (Anton Yelchin) finally has it all–he’s running with the popular crowd and dating the hottest girl in high school. In fact, he’s so cool he’s even dissing his best friend Ed (Christopher Mintz-Plasse). But trouble arrives when an intriguing stranger Jerry (Colin Farrell) moves in next door. He seems like a great guy at first, but there’s something not quite right– yet no one, including Charlie’s mom (Toni Collette), seems to notice! After witnessing some very unusual activity, Charlie comes to an unmistakable conclusion: Jerry is a vampire preying on his neighborhood. Unable to convince anyone that he’s telling the truth, Charlie has to find a way to get rid of the monster himself in this Craig Gillespie-helmed revamp of the comedy-horror classic.
