This Undead Monday, we relive the final tear-jerking moments of the unfortunate family in the overwhelmingly popular announcement trailer of Deep Silver and Techland's Dead Island. We take one last look at the first-person survival horror today, incidentally an Undead Monday.

Yeah, the popularity of the unfortunate family showcased in the heart-wrenching announcement trailer of Deep Silver and Techland's Dead Island is well-documented. And it has by now been pretty much well-publicized that the little girl and her heroic daddy along with hapless mummy, will not be in the actual game. According to Blazej Krakowiak, international brand manager for developer Techland, "the trailer was meant to be an emotional vignette, an example of what happened all over the island the day the dead rose".

So, kudos to Kotaku for finding the remains of aforementioned poor daddy and mummy in this video clip comprising of the original trailer and a new in-game clip.

A pity they just can't find the corpse of the little girl but it's only rightly so since she, being a new member of the undead, should be on one of those undead prowling tour around the island.
