From the ashes of "Fear Itself", behold "The Mighty": Ms. Marvel, Iron Fist, Doctor Strange, Iron Man, Red She-Hulk, Wolverine, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Spider-Man.

The superheroes at the Marvel Universe have had one disastrous Summer, considering how their supposedly bright and beautiful "Heroic Age" getting halted by this Summer's major crossover event, "Fear Itself". Spoiler Alert! We have witnessed the death of Bucky, incidentally the current Captain America, and Steve Rogers resuming the mantle of Captain America (just in time for the movie), Hulk, The Thing, Juggernaut, Absorbing Man, Grey Gargoyle, Titania, and Attuma getting transformed into the loyal heralds (the Worthy) of the big bad of the event, The Serpent. Yes, while it has not been clearly stated, this is The Serpent Jörmungandr that will take out Thor in the prophesied Ragnarök, the end of the Norse Gods.

With fear spreading across Earth (thereby feeding the Serpent, who is also the God of Fear here) while Odin building Asgard into a war engine to raze Earth (in order to destroy The Serpent), we were last left off with Iron Man developing counter-weapons to battle the Worthy in Odin's very own workshop. And with Marvel unveiling the previously silhouetted figures known only as "The Mighty", we now know what good ol' Tony Stark is capable of inside Odin's workshop. (Hell, this is the man who build the original Iron Man armor in a freaking cave.)

A preview to the conclusion of the event in Fear Itself #7, writer Matt Fraction and artist Stuart Immonen have unveiled the assembled image of "The Mighty": Ms. Marvel, Iron Fist, Doctor Strange, Iron Man, Red She-Hulk, Wolverine, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Spider-Man.

It's time for the newly-Asgardian-powered superheroes to strike back after a Summer of getting overpowered by their plus-sized former colleagues and two-bit villains.
