Longing for the next great mindfuck in the proud tradition of Christopher Nolan's epic film, Memento? Watch out for Pig.

Not the infamous 1998 experimental short horror film codirected by the underground film maker Nico B. and the frontman of deathrock band Christian Death Rozz Williams. Already the winner of the Sci-Fi London film festival's Best Feature award, the awesomely titled "Pig" is shaping up to be the next intriguing mindfuck mystery film to watch out for. Written and directed by Henry Barrial, the film is headlined by German actor Rudolf Martin who you might find familiar from numerous American TV series (CSI and 24, among many others) as well as the titular role of Vlad Dracula in the television film Dark Prince: The True Story of Dracula.

Generating some much-needed attention on many film festivals, Pig was originally a Kickstarter project. Here's the official synopsis of the film:

A man wakes up alone in the middle of the desert with a black hood on his head and his hands tied behind his back. At death's door, he is discovered by a woman living alone off the grid and is nursed back to health. Upon regaining consciousness, the man realizes he has no idea who he is or how he got into the desert. His only clue, a piece of paper in his pocket with the name "Manny Elder" on it, sends him on a journey to Los Angeles to discover his past. But things and people are not what they seem and clues lead to something bigger and more unusual than the man could have ever imagined.
