Set to be released in the UK next week, we take a look at Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson's The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn with the newly-released trailers and posters from the fully animated motion-capture 3-D film.

While the wait for the international and North America releases of "The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn" is most unfortunate, we here at The Daily Zombies fully understands the rationale behind the decision for the two-month delay ahead of the film's UK release next week on October 26th.

Despite the strong early reviews coming in for the fully animated motion-capture 3-D film directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by Peter Jackson, the American market needs more positive buzz due to their relatively limited exposure to the source material. While Tintin, the eponymous character from legendary Belgian artist Georges "Hergé" Remi's timeless comic strips, "The Adventures of Tintin", is an iconic character in Europe, he is much, much less recognizable in the US. And with the disastrous box-office returns of Mars Needs Moms, another fully animated motion-capture 3-D film released earlier this year, the US distributors are practicing some basic caution with the potentially lucrative film. Given the fact that the film is set to be released stateside on December 21st (the Christmas season), and its family-friendly nature further amplified by Spielberg, we are expecting some pretty hefty returns here.

With no further ado, hit the jump to check out the recently-released trailers.

Here are two of the latest posters from the film.

Here's the official synopsis of the film:

Paramount Pictures and Columbia Pictures Present a 3D Motion Capture Film “The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn” directed by Steven Spielberg from a screenplay by Steven Moffat and Edgar Wright & Joe Cornish. Starring Jamie Bell (“Billy Elliot,” “Defiance”) as Tintin, the intrepid young reporter whose relentless pursuit of a good story thrusts him into a world of high adventure, and Daniel Craig (“Quantum of Solace,” “Defiance”) as the nefarious Red Rackham.
