Today, Steven Spielberg's much-anticipated fully animated motion-capture 3-D adaptation of Georges "Hergé" Remi's all-time classic comic strips, "The Adventures of Tintin", opens in the UK. For everyone else, rejoice in animator James Curran's unofficial opening title sequences for the film.

In our earlier preview for The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn, the fully animated motion-capture 3-D film directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by Peter Jackson, we looked at the likely rationale behind the belated North America and international releases. With today marking the opening day of the film in the UK, those not residing in the region might want to turn to this awesome fan-made opening title sequence for the film that have been making the rounds over at the internet lately.

Created by animator James Curran, the clip intricately incorporates elements from each of the twenty-four titles in Hergé’s The Adventures Of Tintin series. While the animation style is notably different from the fully motion-capture 3D glory of Spielberg's upcoming adaptation, it has no doubt captured the original charming nature of its source material.
