Batman, a'la Catwoman # 1

Posted by Grey Thursday, October 20, 2011

Thought the comic communities gonna let go of the whole infamous "Batman 'vs.' Catwoman?" fiasco already? Not without this most appropriate parody from DrawAARGHHH.

Written by Judd Winick with art by Guillem March, Catwoman # 1 is without a doubt, the most controversial title over all fifty-two new titles in the "DC Comics - The New 52" initiative. (For the uninformed, check out our earlier article on the controversy) Well-deserving of its frequently-parodied status, we have stumbled upon yet another humorous jab at the atrocious comic book.

Illustrated by by DrawAARGHHH in an effort to reimagine the cover of the debut issue (also by artist Guillem March), hit the jump to check out the piece that puts Batman in the position of Catwoman in the cover and see if you can catch the subtle dig at the original.

In the artist's own words:

Batman.
He’s not the hero Gotham needs, but he is one that Gotham desires.

And here's the original for your reference.
