Infinity Blade II: First Look

Arguably the most acclaimed original iPhone game ever, Infinity Blade gets a sequel this December.

As the world continues to be overwhelmed by announcement of iPhone 4S at Apple's "Let's Talk iPhone" event while saddened by the passing away of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, the announcement of the sequel to Chair Entertainment and Epic Games's critically acclaimed original iPhone game, Infinity Blade, was inevitably overshadowed.

Also unveiled at the "Let's Talk iPhone" event by Epic Games CEO Mike Capps, Infinity Blade II was announced with a typically gorgeous trailer. With no further ado, hit the jump to check out the announcement trailer.

Based on what we gathered from the trailer, for the first time ever, players will be able to dual-wield swords for a new sword-fighting style. Apart from that, it was announced that the sequel will be utilizing the new Apple-designed A5 chip that comes with iPhone 4S. According to Apple, the new chip will allow game developers to make games with up to “7X faster graphics.” In addition, the new iOS 5-only feature iCloud will be available for players to transfer game saves and profiles between multiple iOS devices. While the priced has not been announced yet, it is noteworthy that the original Infinity Blade was priced at $5.99 during its release.
