Can't help feeling skeptical over the potential of an effective horror experience in "American Horror Story", the new horror series set to premièred tomorrow on FX, after our preview last week? Perhaps the recently-released first five minutes and opening credit sequence of the show can help you make up your mind.

Earlier last week, we weighed in on the prospects of an adequate horror TV experience in FX's new horror series, American Horror Story.

Created by Glee co-creators/executive producers Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, the series is set to premièred tomorrow night at 10pm on FX. Given the creators's resume (note that the duo also gave us Nip/Tuck), we must agree that any skepticism over the project are fairly justified. Thankfully, FX has done a great job in its promotion before the premiere tomorrow.

Firstly, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, the creepily fantastic opening credits sequence has showed up online. Created by Kyle Cooper and his creative agency Prologue (for the uninformed, the incredibly talented folks that brought us the amazing opening sequence for Seven), the clip tells a chilling story by itself, with Murphy indicating the below mentioned:

"By the time you see the ninth episode of this season, every image in that title sequence will be explained. So for example, What are the jars in the basement? What is the mystery of the floating white Christening dress? Why is somebody holding hedge clippers that are bloody? Each time you watch it and you watch the week’s episode you’ll be able to say, ‘Oh that’s why that’s in there!’"

In addition, the background music of the opening sequence, a track entitled "American Horror Story", was created by sound designer Cesar Davila-Irizarry and musician Charlie Clouser, who is known for his time in industrial rock band, Nine Inch Nails.

For those who wants to learn more about the TV series in an innovative yet haunting way, do check out the show's viral site, aptly entitled as You're Going To Die In There. Though we have to warn you that it is indeed pretty damn creepy.

With no further ado, hit the jump to check out the opening sequence.

And here's a look at the first five minutes of the show.
