Mondo + DC Comics = Graphic win.

Here at The Daily Zombies, Mondo, the Alamo Drafthouse’s collectible art boutique which have brought us numerous incredible alternate rendition of movie posters, needs no further introduction. Aside from being aficionados of graphic awesomeness, we are also big fans of DC Comics. Just so you understand our excitement over the prospects of a collaboration between the iconic comic book publisher who is currently undergoing a resurgence of sorts and the the up-and-coming graphic design house.

Having obtained licenses for popular properties the likes of Star Wars, Pixar, Star Trek, Disney (is Marvel far behind?) and many more, Mondo has recently acquired the license for DC Comics as well. Kicking off their DC Comics Posters Series would be this cool take on arguably the most iconic comic book character ever: Superman.

Illustrated by J.C. Richard, the first 12x32 poster, entitled "Fortress of Solitude", is priced at $50 (plus shipping) and is limited to a run of 390. Set to be made available some time during Black Friday, be on a close lookout at @MondoNews‘ Twitter feed for the announcement.
